Have A Question? We Are Here To Help!
Frequently Asked Questions

At Mountain Home Inspection, we understand that buying or selling a home comes with many questions—especially when it comes to ensuring your property is safe and sound. Our team specializes in comprehensive home inspections, radon testing, and air sampling to give you peace of mind during the real estate process. To help you better understand our services and what to expect, we’ve compiled answers to some of the most common questions we hear from clients. Whether you’re a first-time homebuyer or a seasoned investor, this FAQ section is here to guide you every step of the way.

What is radon and why should I test for it?

Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that can enter homes through the ground. Long-term exposure to high levels of radon can lead to lung cancer. Testing is the only way to know if radon levels are safe in your home.

What is included in a standard home inspection?

A standard home inspection covers the visible and accessible areas of the home, including the roof, attic, foundation, plumbing, electrical system, HVAC, walls, ceilings, floors, windows, doors, and major appliances. Our goal is to identify any safety concerns or potential issues before you complete your purchase.

How long does a home inspection usually take?

Most home inspections take between 2 to 3 hours, depending on the size, age, and condition of the home. Larger or older homes may take longer to inspect thoroughly.
